As much as we love hockey here at Days Of Y’Orr, there are a few teams out there that in all honesty we just aren’t too familiar with. The Blue Jackets are one of them.
We do know a few things though, for one, Steve Mason used to be really good in the 08-09 season…and then he ruined some of our fantasy goal tending stats in the 09-10 season.
We also know that we can’t say Rick Nash’s name without saying “I’m Rick Nash bitch!”. Don’t get it? YouTube “Rick James Bitch” and thank us later.
This is one of those games that the Bruins probably should win. Columbus isn’t an overly talented team (with a few exceptions) and we’re hoping to see the Bruins start to come out of their funk. Sadly the numbers are working against Boston as they’ve lost 5 of their 9 games against the Blue Jackets since they entered the NHL.
After the jump: Those Canadiens are getting into mischief again…
So before I begin, yes, we are getting tired of talking and hearing about the antics of our neighbors to the north. But that’s not to say that we’re going to stop talking about then, we just wish they would shut up so that we don’t have to.
So to start, there is a movement going around for the Canadiens to forfeit the next next game and for the fans to protest outside the Bell Centre. Check it out here. Doubtful that they’re get enough followers to make much of an impact, and even more doubtful that the Canadiens will forfeit, but hey, they can do what makes them happy. Sure makes a lot more sense than what some other fans seem to be planning, which is coming down here on the 24th specifically for the purpose of fighting Bruins fans…because addressing the violence of a sport with more violence is probably the right thing to do.
They may talk bad about about us, they they’re full of savages up in Canada!
Also, Geoff Molson recently addressed the team in person regarding everything that has been going down. A phone call probably would have sufficed, but the window for getting a phone call in Canada is only open once per week.
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Rich Peverley
Mark Recchi-Chris Kelly-Michael Ryder/Tyler Seguin
Daniel Paille-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton
Zdeno Chara-Johnny Boychuk
Tomas Kaberle-Adam McQuaid
Dennis Seidenberg-Steven Kampfer
This is based on the skating lines from yesterday’s practice, but it seems like the most likely roster for now, we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.
Game Day Links:
- Habs Talk Radio has a video of how Chara is out of control. I didn’t make it past the first clip before discounting it, how far can you make it?
- Another video on Habs Talk Radio, it’s in French, but you get the idea. Again, in the end they’re promoting a violent solution.
- If you haven’t looked at Greg’s Winning Streak vs. Losing Streak post, do it! Greg worked hard and math isn’t his strong point.
- More WGS submission by Jon and Justin. Word of warning, you eyes may bleed after reading Jon’s Roger Goodell post.
- Bruins need to find a way to get and keep possession of the puck.
