Game Day Preview: Shark Attack!

Da-nun…Da-nun…danun-danun-danun

Bruins hit the ice…ice is in the Garden…Sharks are in the Garden…

San Jose Sharks!

The Sharks and the infamous Joe Thornton have arrived! Be prepared to hear some boos.  Honestly, we’re not sure we get why, sure he was an awful captain and didn’t quite live up to expectations while in Boston, but I’m not sure that was possible.  Either way, he still doesn’t deserve the Kessel treatment!

If your a Sharks/Thornton fan visiting the Garden today…you’re gonna need a bigger boat.

Yes, we really are making Jaws references.

After the jump:  Want to see a bear surfing on a shark? Of course you do!

Since the lockout, the Bruins have gone 2-2 against the Sharks.  Currently the Sharks are in 5 place in the Western Conference with 60 points, and have looked streaky all year.  Seems that they finally hit rock bottom at the begining of January, losing 6 straight.  Since then they have won six of their past 7 games.

Not too shabby, but you know what’s more awesome? This:

Not ours…but too awesome not to use

We kinda miss playing teams in the eastern conference…we see them more than once a year so there is a lot more to write about.

Projected Roster:

Milan Lucic-David Krejci-Nathan Horton
Brad Marchand-Patrice Bergeron-Mark Recchi
Blake Wheeler-Zach Hamill-Michael Ryder
Tyler Seguin-Gregory Campbell-Shawn Thornton

Zdeno Chara-Steven Kampfer
Dennis Seidenberg-Johnny Boychuk
Andrew Ference-Adam McQuaid

Tim Thomas
Tuukka Rask

Nothing definite announced yet at the time of writing this, but where Paille is out and Hamill is in as a center, the lines will probably look something like this.  If the rest of the season has been any indication, Thomas should be starting.
