PREVIEW 13. Boston Bruins at Winnipeg Jets – Hockey Day In America IN CANADA!

Today the Bruins are in Canada during Hockey Day In America, because clearly BOSTON HATES AMERICA…or whatever. Boston is in the great white wasteland known as Winnipeg, where the most exciting you can do is stick your member in a moose or watch the Jets and given the options, I don't blame anyone out there looking for the largest (moose) rack they can find. Seriously, the fucking Jets.

We're talking about a team that is currently fourth in the Southeast Division (also LOL Washington Crapitals) and 14th in the Eastern Conference. They, literally, have nothing going for them right now. At some point, Winnipeg Jets fans will be asking for Tim Tebow just because it will have their team talked about, right?

I'm glad the people of Winnipeg went absolutely batshit crazy when they realized they were getting the Atlanta Thrashers – and the Atlanta Thrashers roster. For some weird reason the people of Winnipeg actually believed that they could have went to the playoffs this year. You do realize that you have an unbelievably bad goaltender between the pipes and a human version of the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man roaming your own blue line right?

Add that Tobias Enstrom will probably miss today's game and their defense just took another hit. But let's talk about people missing today's game. Apparently it was reported that Milan Lucic will also miss tonight's game due to personal reasons. I hope it has nothing to do with his wife or child, because as much as I dislike Lucic I would never wish anything upon someone's family. So with Lucic anywhere but Winnipeg, guess who we get to see tonight:

Pandolfo

Jay Fucking Pandolfo!

Don't expect much from Pandolfo tonight because he's not the son of a legend, which means Dale Arnold (who blocked me on Twitter, probably because I kept telling him he sucks) won't be gargling his testicles in hope of giving Ray a wink. With all that said, the Bruins should kick the shit out of the Jets today.

Look at the numbers. Winnipeg is 19th in scoring in the NHL with 2.54 goals per game. They're 25th in defense in the NHL with 3.23 goals against per game, but their power play is good at 12th overall. Seriously, I don't get how inadequate offenses and have a good power play when the Bruins offense (ranked 16th overall) is 29th on the power play and barely breaking double digit successes (11.4%).

Will the real Tyler Seguin please stand up? Kid is so snake bitten.

It's fucking maddening, to be honest. Whatever, you know where I stand on this issue #FireGeoffWard.

Last thing I want to mention:

When leading after the second period, the Bruins have only won 66% of their games. That ranks them 25th in the NHL, so maybe its time we look at how good this defense really is and not just go by the numbers?

After the jump, the rest of the preview…
