5. Detroit Red Wings at Boston Bruins.

Pez Says: In honor of Columbus Day, I've taken the popular poem "In 1492" – a kid friendly story about Christopher Columbus – and made it awesome.

On an October day, ten and two
The Bruins beat the Jackets blue.

And now they travel back to home;
Where the horses and Yeti and the Lucic doth roam.

Claude said Tuukka “This is your day;
Stop that fucking puck, you’ll find a way”.

“You’ll have Big Z by your side,
He’ll make sure to turn the tide” .

And the 23 others, they were on board;
They tapped on his pads and they cheered and they roared.

Boychuk roared loud and deep from within;
For the Detroit Red Wings weren’t of his kin.

“I’ll send them a message, this will be true;
With their bodies a nice shade of black and of blue!”.

While Bergy took watch, he noticed the red;
“The Red Wings! The Red Wings!” Bergeron pled.

So the Bruins geared up, read to battle;
Ready for Detroit, their courage did not rattle.

A deep breath from Krug, the crowd came alive;
The linesmen drew close with a puck set to lithe.

And Motorhead told them, “It’s time to play the game”;
With Brad Marchand ready to deliver some pain.

The Bruins were ready for this matinee tilt,
For the puck drops at 1,
And the Red Wings will wilt.

After the jump, the rest of the preview…

Last time these two teams played, Justin Abdelkader went high on Marchand. Marchand said it was accidental, but here it is again.
