During the lockout we wrote a post on what the different NHL teams were offering season ticket holders as an apology for the Lockout. Now that the lockout is over, teams are sending out different offers and deals as an "apology" in hopes of enticing fans back, filling their arenas and wallets.
We'll keep updating this list as more teams send out offers. If you know of something a team is offering and you don't see it here, shoot us an email at email@example.com with the link or info you have and we'll add it to the site.
After the jump, we go team-by-team.
Read while listening to this. Thanks, What's Up, Ya Sieve?
Here's the roll call:
The Not So Mighty Ducks are opening some practices to fans as well as giving fans who buy tickets to the home opener a voucher worth 50% off a future Ducks home game. Also, no corporate scalping:
The Ducks will continue to offer fans a “No Surprise Fees” policy for the 2012-13 hockey season. Fans will incur no additional fees when purchasing tickets direct from the Anaheim Ducks via AnaheimDucks.com, Ticketmaster or at the Honda Center Box Office. In addition, fans will continue to receive free TicketFast delivery (ability to print tickets at home).
Individual game tickets for the 2012-13 season start at $25 per game (Terrace Value East). While all Terrace Goal and Terrace Value tickets remain flat for 2012-13, other price points on the Terrace level have been significantly reduced for the 2012-13 season. For example, 20% of the Terrace Main inventory (1,875 seats total) has been reduced along with 68% of the Terrace Lower inventory (1,352 seats). Individual tickets for the 2012-13 NHL campaign have dipped as much as 13% per game on the Plaza level and 19% on the Club level.
Nothing yet but we're expcting price hikes… only half-sarcasm.
Ok, maybe not. The Bruins announced that there'll be some free concession food for January, discounted merchandise and giveaways:
Among the highlights, the Bruins will distribute free concession vouchers to all fans at Bruins home games during the entire month of January. These vouchers will enable each fan to receive three complimentary food or non-alcoholic beverage items from a select menu. Also during the month of January, fans will receive 25-percent off all merchandise in the Boston Bruins ProShop and Fan Zones during home games, with Bruins Season Ticket Holders and Premium Club clients being offered a 30-percent discount.
For Opening Night presented by TD Bank on January 19 against the New York Rangers at the TD Garden, fans will have the chance to receive game-worn players’ jerseys through a Shirts Off Our Backs promotion. Fans will also have the opportunity to win a number of unique prizes, including the opportunity to fly with the Bruins on their team charter to an away game and the chance to visit the Bruins locker room post-game.
Fans should also be aware that the team’s Training Camp, which opens on Sunday, January 13 at the TD Garden at 1:00 p.m. ET, is free and open to the public. There will be free parking, in addition to complimentary concession items, including hot dogs, popcorn, cookies, soda and coffee.
For all five Bruins home games in January, concession vouchers will be distributed to all fans. The vouchers will be valid for three food or beverage items, including: hot dog, sausage sandwich, slice of pizza, healthy wrap (turkey, Greek or chicken Caesar), jumbo home-cooked meatball, peanuts, popcorn, fountain beverage.
Fans will receive a 25-percent discount on all merchandise in the Boston Bruins ProShop and Fan Zones during home games throughout the entire month of January. Boston Bruins Season Ticket Holders and Premium Club clients will be able to receive a 30-percent discount on all merchandise. During the Bruins’ Opening Night presented by TD Bank on January 19, there will be a free gift given to the first 500 purchases over $50.
Throughout the upcoming week, the Bruins and TD Bank will be in each New England state to give away hundreds of Bruins tickets for the 2012-13 season as part of the #BruinsAreBack promotion. Bruins fans will need to closely follow @NHLBruins, the official Twitter home of the Boston Bruins, throughout the week of Monday, January 14, through Friday, January 18 to find out the location of each day’s giveaways.
The Sabres are offering a Fan Appreciation Sale:
The sale, which runs for the duration of training camp and ends after the team’s first home game, will offer fans a 50% discount on all merchandise in the Sabres Store at First Niagara Center.
“Our fans showed tremendous patience and loyalty during the past few months,” said Buffalo Sabres President Ted Black. “Nothing will erase the pain of a lockout and cancelled games but we wanted to give back to our fans in this way to get them excited for what is sure to be a fast-paced and thrilling 2012-13 season.”
The Sabres Store will be offering extended hours throughout the Fan Appreciation Sale to give fans ample time to take advantage of the sale. In addition to its normal hours of 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the store will be open for all training camp practices that are open to the public.
Rumors floating that there might be more added to this later on.
So far the Flames are having a contest to let two fans see behind the scenes of the team (among other prizes), but this doesn't really seem like a "peace offering" perk.
Hurrican STHers are getting a slew of different perks. In an email from Sean F:
-Full, Half and Mini Season Plan holders get the opening night included in their package.
Thanks to Jinny C. for sending us this link to the Blackhawks perks. They're giving away signed jerseys, pucks, sticks and season tickets.
The Chicago Blackhawks players, coaches and front office are committed to consistent excellence on and off the ice, and that commitment is fueled by the passion and loyalty of our fans. To express our gratitude for your patience, we have assembled an assortment of autographed memorabilia — including 1,000 jerseys and 250 pucks — plus, amazing seats to every home game and once-in-a-lifetime experiences that we will award over the course of this 99-day NHL season.
Your devotion — whether you're a season ticketholder, attend a few games a year, catch the action on Comcast SportsNet and WGN-TV, or listen on WGN Radio — is something we do not take for granted. As we pursue our "One Goal," we will do everything we can to earn and maintain your allegiance.
Columbus Blue Jackets
The Blue Jackets have a few things brewing for fans. First off they have a 2-For-1 offer where fans can buy one opening night ticket and get a second for free and they're waiving corporate scalping fees:
A special “2 for 1” Opening Night ticket offer allows fans that purchase a ticket for the January 21 game to get a second of equal value for no additional cost. As a further bonus, the Blue Jackets and Ticketmaster will waive convenience and all order processing fees for online ticket purchases from January 15-21.
During this seven-day period, fans may buy tickets for any game on the 24-game home schedule without paying the additional convenience and order processing fees typically associated with an online purchase. Although individual savings will vary based on the price of tickets purchased, the benefits result in a savings of up to $17 per ticket. Single-game tickets for all games go on sale Tuesday, January 15 at 9 a.m.
In other Opening Night news, all fans in attendance will receive a free T-shirt courtesy of FOX Sports Ohio, a 2012-13 schedule magnet presented by Papa John’s, a cheer card presented by Nationwide Insurance and FOX Sports Ohio and a voucher redeemable for a free Pepsi product, hot dog and popcorn that night. Fans can also expect numerous in-game prize giveaways as well as the chance to win a player-worn jersey. Fans are encouraged to take their seats early for pre-game opening ceremonies which will include player introductions among the many planned festivities.
Columbus also have several other promotional items for fans during the early part of the season and special ticket price packages.
According to Puck Drunk Love, the Dallas Stars are allowing kids under the age of 12 in for Free for January and February.
Details of the promotion haven't formally been released, but that's the current word on the street…well, on the Internet. If true, that's one great value for a family that's looking to have a family night out.
Can any Stars fans confirm this?
UPDATE: This is confirmed. They're also giving STHers complimentary tickets for a bunch of games. From an email from Ben S.:
In gratitude for your support and as an added benefit, the Stars will be providing Season Seat Holders sixteen (16) complimentary tickets good for any Stars home games during the 2013 regular season. Complimentary tickets will be accessible in the price point at which your season tickets are held.
As part of the Red Wings' "Thanks for Sticking with Us" initiative, the club and Ticketmaster have teamed up for 35 hours of no fees for any regular-season ticket purchased. From 1 p.m. on Thursday through midnight Friday, tickets purchased atDetroitRedWings.com, Ticketmaster.com, the Joe Louis Arena box office or by calling 313-396-7575 will be Fee-Free.
Congrats on not getting mollested by insane fees by corporate scalpers!
The Panthers have announced a "7th Man" offering which allows fans to purchase tickets for as low as $7. That's cheaper than a beer in Boston.
Tickets start as low as $7 a game and fans can call 954-835-PUCK or log on to Ticketmaster.com to purchase Opening Night tickets, season plans or single game tickets once the final schedule is released. The Cats will unveil their first Southeast Division Championship banner and every fan in attendance will receive a commemorative mini-banner.
In addition, “7th Man” will include a number of unique experiential opportunities for fans and season ticket holders to watch and take part in throughout the season. These opportunities, which will take place as part of Panthers home games, as well as other off-site events, will be announced in the build-up to Opening Night, during the Panthers home opener, and over the course of the season.
What are the reigning Stanley Cup champs offering their fans? They're giving back… to charity.
As a thank you for fans' patience, #LAKings are donating $1 million back to the LA community.
— LA Kings (@LAKings) January 11, 2013
What a slap in the face to fans. I mean, Kings fans can't get angry that the Kings are giving money to charity without seeming like giant douches but at the same time, that's not how you bring back fans. At all. What a giant flub by LA.
The Los Angeles Kings, the 2012 Stanley Cup Champions, in a joint effort with McDonald’s will donate $1 Million to local charities as a special “Thank You” to the city of Los Angeles for its support this past year, the hockey club – including its players – announced this afternoon as part of a news conference at STAPLES Center.
As part of the pledge – which was announced by Kings executives Tim Leiweke and Luc Robitaille along with Kings forward Jarret Stoll, defenseman Matt Greene and goaltender Jonathan Quick – the Kings Care Foundation will work with the following four local charities to maximize this commitment:
- Children’s Hospital Los Angeles
- Ronald McDonald House Charities of Southern California
- Boys and Girls Club of America
- City Year Los Angeles
“We feel that it is important to not only make a significant commitment back to our community but to help facilitate a sizeable charitable effort that everybody can get behind — including our players, our fans and our partners in particular,” said Robitaille.
UPDATE: STHers are getting some melted ice. From an email from Jeff V.:
Season Ticket Member Gift
The Wild have announced their Promo Schedule but don't really think it's any different than what teams usually do during the year, so nothing really.

So far the Rangers are having a contest to win home opener tickets via their website and #BlueshirtsAreBack, but that seems pretty routine and not a peace mandate. MSG will also air a two-hour practice on Weds:
Just days before the highly anticipated 2013 NHL season takes off, MSG Network will telecast “Rangers Training Camp Live,” a live, two-hour look-in at the team’s training camp session from the MSG Training Center, on Wednesday, January 16 starting at 11:00 a.m.
Hosted by Al Trautwig, “Rangers Training Camp Live,” which will repeat at 5:00 p.m. and midnight later that night, will feature interviews with players and coaches and analysis from MSG’s Rangers experts, including Sam Rosen, Joe Micheletti, John Giannone, Dave Maloney and Kenny Albert, as Blueshirts fans get their first look at the 2013 Rangers team.
There are more paragraphs talking about how awesome MSG and these shows are than there is about the actual practice.

Things aren't quiet clear with what the Coyotes are offering. Sounds like they're still thinking about it but here's what BizJournals.com says:
“We have made it a priority to stay in touch with our season ticket base throughout the work stoppage and have held family skating events at the Ice Den and Jobing.com Arena,” said Coyotes president and COOMike Nealy.
The Penguins have one of the better looking offers. They're giving fans free select food and heavy discounts on merchandise for the first four home games. They're also running contests for fans to win free stuff and a slew of promotional items. Penguins mean business with fans.
The Pittsburgh Penguins will offer FREE selected concession items and “half off” all merchandise at the team’s first four games at CONSOL Energy Center.
Every fan attending each of those games will receive a voucher for three free concession items. Fans may choose from among hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken sandwiches, nachos, popcorn, pretzels, salads and fountain drinks.

All sessions throughout Training Camp are open to the public and free of charge.
Tampa Bay Lightning
The Lightning are offering fans season tickets as low as $200. That's $8 a game, or cheaper than a beer in Boston. The catch is there are limited quantities so fans gotta act fast.
Along with the tickets, fans will receive a $25 gift card for the team's merchandise store inside the Forum.
Supplies are limited.
Other season-ticket packages are available. Anyone who purchases a lower-level season ticket can purchase an exclusive Lightning jersey for $35 that includes a digital chip that can be used for discounts on merchandise and concessions.
Lower-level packages are available starting at $52 a game, and club-level season tickets are available for $50 a game.
Toronto Maple Leafs
A new GM? Joking aside, nothing's been announced yet.
We can't find anything on the team site but Reddit is saying the Canucks are offering 50% off merchandise for first three home games, and $1 on certain concession items. Again, haven't found anything concrete and just from Reddit so take it for what it's worth. Still trying to track down other info. Our VAN fans are saying nothing's reported yet, so who knows. We'll keep looking.
The Caps toted their 20 events they held during the lockout to stay connected with fans as well as list what season ticket holders can expect for sticking by the team during the lockout.
