Bergeron, Tuukka Apply To Waste Management, Clean Up At NHL Awards

Seriously, this is Patrice Bergeron’s league – he’s just nice enough to allow everyone else to play in it.

Bergeron cleaned up last night, taking home two trophies and also left as the NHL 15 cover person. After the completely unnecessary and over-the-top bullshit cover voting process that annoyed people who will actually play the game, Bergeron was crowned EA’s spokesperson over Canadiens defenseman and head reptile PK Subban.

But to the hardware that actually matters, Bergeron took home the Selke trophy as the league’s top defensive forward – beating out Anze Kopitar and Jonathan Toews.

Bergeron also took home the NHL Foundation award, an award that is given to the player “who applies the core values of (ice) hockey commitment, perseverance and teamwork to enrich the lives of people in his community.”

Tuukka Rask also left with some pretty significant hardware, winning the Vezina Trophy as the NHL’s best goaltender.

About Pez

People seem to like me because I am polite and I am rarely late. I like to eat ice cream and I really enjoy a nice pair of slacks. Years later, a doctor will tell me that I have an I.Q. of 48 and am what some people call mentally retarded.
